After upgrading from AVG AntiVirus FREE to AVG Internet Security, you may experience one of the following issues:
- AVG Internet Security is installed, but the application is in trial mode.
- AVG Internet Security is installed, but the application does not accept your paid subscription.
If you experience one of these issues, follow the instructions below.
Instructions
- Fully uninstall AVG Internet Security using the AVG Clear tool. For detailed instructions, refer to the following article:
- After fully removing AVG Internet Security from your PC, download the latest version of AVG Internet Security using the direct link below: Download AVG Internet Security
- Right-click the downloaded
avg_internet_security_setup.exe
setup file and choose Run as administrator from the context menu. - If prompted for permission by the User Account Control dialog, click Yes.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install AVG Internet Security. For more information, refer to the following article:
- Ensure that your AVG Internet Security subscription is active. For detailed instructions, refer to the following article:
Your AVG Internet Security subscription is now active. Your subscription details are visible via Menu ▸ My Subscription ▸ Subscriptions on this PC.
