This article explains how to cancel the renewal of an AVG subscription via your AVG Account. An AVG Account was created using the email address that you provided during the subscription purchase.
- To sign in to your AVG Account for the first time, refer to the following article: Activating your AVG Account.

Canceling your subscription before the next billing date ensures you will not be renewed nor charged for the renewal. For more information about canceling the renewal for an AVG subscription, refer to the following article: Canceling an AVG subscription - FAQs.
Cancel the renewal for a subscription
- Sign in to your AVG account using the link below:
- Click Manage subscriptions on the My subscriptions tile.
- Under the subscription that you want to cancel the renewal for, click Manage subscription. If the subscription does not appear on the My subscriptions screen, refer to the Still need help? section below.
- Click Unsubscribe or Cancel renewal. If you do not see the Unsubscribe or Cancel renewal button, refer to the Still need help? section below.
- Optionally, let us know why you are canceling the renewal, then click Continue.
- Review the details, then click Confirm & Finish.
Your subscription renewal is now canceled. You will receive confirmation of the cancellation by email.
If you have multiple AVG subscriptions, repeat the steps above for each subscription you want to cancel the renewal for.
When the subscription renewal is canceled, the status changes to Expiring. You can continue using your paid AVG subscription until the expiration date shown next to Expires on. After this date, you will either lose access or you will be switched to the free version.
