Reporting an issue with AVG Android apps to AVG Support

This article contains instructions to create a video showing an issue with an AVG app on Android, then send your video to AVG Support for analysis. We recommend you to provide as many details as possible.

Create a video

  1. Install AZ Screen Recorder from Google Play Store.
  2. On the Home screen of your device, tap the AZ Screen Recorder icon to open the application menu.
  3. Tap the video icon to start recording. If prompted, tap Start now to allow recording.
  4. From that moment, everything you do on your device is recorded. Your video should show:
    • Your issue including the incorrect behavior, error messages, etc.
    • All of the steps you have taken to try and resolve the issue.
    • AVG AntiVirus for Android: Include configuration information visible on the Developer screen. To see this screen, open AVG AntiVirus for Android and go to Menu (three lines) ▸ SettingsAbout. Then, tap the app version 5 times to open the Developer screen. Ensure to record all information by scrolling down.
    • AVG Alarm Clock Xtreme: Include information visible on the About us screen. To see this screen, open AVG Alarm Clock Xtreme and go to Menu (three lines) ▸ SettingsAbout us.
  5. When your video is ready, swipe down on the notification bar and tap the stop (square) icon on the AZ Screen Recorder panel.
  6. When the recorded video opens, tap the share icon at the bottom of the preview, and select your preferred cloud storage provider (for example, Google Drive or Dropbox).
  7. Open your selected cloud storage app, then create and copy a shareable link. For more details, refer to your cloud storage provider's documentation.

Send your video to AVG Support

  1. To send a message to AVG Support, follow the relevant steps below according to your Android app:
    • AVG AntiVirus for Android:
      1. Open AVG AntiVirus and go to Menu (three lines) ▸ Help & Feedback.
      2. Tap FAQs 5 times.
      3. In the form, provide your email address, the detailed issue description, and paste a link to the video. Then, tap Submit Message.
    • All other AVG Android apps: Contact AVG Support via the contact form included in the app. Provide your email address, the detailed issue description, and paste a link to the video. For detailed instructions, refer to the following article:
In apps other than AVG AntiVirus for Android, you can only send a direct message to AVG Support if you have a paid subscription.

AVG Support representatives will investigate your issue and contact you as soon as possible. Sending a message directly from the AVG Android app ensures that AVG Support representatives receive additional data from your device that can help fix the problem.
