Creating a log file in AVG TuneUp

This article assumes that you have contacted AVG Support and a log file has been requested. You can contact AVG Support via our Technical Support form.

Create a log file

  1. Open AVG TuneUp and go to MenuSettings.
  2. Select GeneralTroubleshooting in the left panel.
  3. Ensure the box next to Enable debug logging is ticked.
  4. Restart your PC. After reboot, open AVG TuneUp and reproduce the issue that caused you to contact AVG Support.
  5. Locate the log file in the following folder on your local disk:
    • C:\ProgramData\AVG\AVG TuneUp\log
Depending on your system preferences, the folders referenced above could be hidden. For instructions to display hidden folders in Windows 10, 8.1, and 7, refer to the following article:
