Configuring Proxy Settings for Devices (AVG Business Management Consoles)

If your network utilizes proxies for end devices, you will need to configure the proxy settings in the policies assigned to the devices behind a proxy. Proxy settings only apply to Windows Workstations or Servers.

AVG_GeneralSettings
  1. Click the policy you would like to change
  2. Select the OS you are adding proxy settings for
  3. Click the General Settings tab
  4. In the Proxy settings section select the type of proxy you are using from the following options:
    • Direct connection (no proxy)
    • HTTP proxy
    • SOCKS v4 proxy
  5. Enter the IP Address and Port for your proxy
  6. If desired, you can bypass proxy server for local addresses by checking the box beside Enable
  7. Select your Authentication type in the drop-down menu from the following options:
    • No authentication
    • Basic authentication (plaintext)
    • Windows Integrated authentication (NTLM)
  8. For HTTP proxies, enter the authentication Username and Password
  9. Click Apply changes
