If you are experiencing an issue where the SMTP banner of Norman Email Protection displays the local server name (ex. server01.domain.local) rather than the public name (ex. mail.domain.com) when you telnet to your server you will need to make a change in the registry.
It is not possible to change this value in Norman Email Protection Administrator (GUI), therefore the change will have to be made in the registry.
Change the following key in the registry to change the public name of your mail server:
Once you have made the change, restart the service MODUSCFG (Mail Server Configuration Service) for the changes to take effect.
