My PC has Windows 7 Ultimate; I've been an AVG customer for 15 years, and have always downloaded PDFs from libgen. Suddenly from May 2, my downloads are being blocked by AVG, with this message: We've safely aborted connection on dl3.libgen.io because it was infected with URL:Mal
Details given are: URL starting http://dl3.libgen.io Process: C:\Program\Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe Detected by Web Shield Connection aborted
Please tell me how to fix the settings for this, as I never had any problem with the downloads, they are certainly not infected.
Thanks Ranjani, I went to 'see details' and have sent you the full path, as in my message above: URL starting http://dl3.libgen.io Process: C:\Program\Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe
do you still require the screen shot? Can you tell me how to access the exception list - where is it located, etc?
Thank you for providing the information Dilip, I request you to change AVG Firewall network profile to private (open AVG Internet Security > menu > settings > components > firewall > customize > network profile > change all the network public to private), please go to Firewall customize settings again > scroll down > click on system rules > enable all the system rules if it's not configured, please click OK and check if you can access http://dl3.libgen.io with enabled AVG Internet Security. If the issue still persists, then add the above website to the AVG exception list (open AVG Internet Security > Menu > settings > general > Exception). Regards, Alok.
Alok I have done all the operations you suggest, including adding the link to the exception list; but the same message appears (as in the screen shot) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RJ4ycXw2drtuw5W16uoDhXcBZmr8aeVn/view?usp=sharing its a serious problem for me, please help thanks, Dilip
Thank you for connecting with us, let's work together to fix it.
Have you tried to add that site to the exception list? Share the screenshot https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=How-to-create-a-screenshot&supportType=home of the threat detection with full path you received to check with it. Click on "See details" to view the full path of detected file.

I have the same problem with the Multicloud web site - surely the answer is not to keep adding "exceptions", but to sort out the Avast problem
