Thank you for the screenshots, Denis. This could be a falsepositive which may appear from time to time with any antivirus software as a result of new virus definitions added to the program's database. Please note that if a legit file or website are marked as malicious by AVG, we always recommend our customers to submit a sample in this link (https://www.avg.com/en-us/false-positive-file-form) . A group of analysts review the software for malicious or unwanted activity and can be whitelisted. Eventually, you can add this application in exception list as mentioned in this article (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=AVG-Antivirus-scan-exclusions&supportType=home) . Feel free to contact us if you need any help.
of course it's a false positive, i made an exception right away. it's just strange that the newest version of AVG still confuses such trustful and widespread app as OneDrive with malicios code. this can make to question if AVG is a well-performing software
Hi Denis, We can realize the situation on your part. False postives will occur with any AntiVirus program (different service provider too) as a result of new virus definitions added to the program's database. We always do have an option to whitelist the application if this happen. Thank you.
My AVG apparently just had an update this morning and I know it's a false positive because it suddenly doesn't work well today. I can't even do photoshop anymore. Do we have to wait this out for everything to go back to normal with you guys or does the update permanently ruin the computer?
