What happened to all the tuneup utilities???

What in the heck have you guys done to the tuneup utilities? Where are all the all functions? Like registry optimizer, and compress. Instead you have like fewer options. Why is the window so huge? I can see the top and no X. I have to right click the program in my taskbar and exit that way?

You guys are messing crap up rather then fixing anything. The new interface sucks, and no features. It's missing over half if not more. The old tuneup was way better and had a lot more functions.

Do you people even know what your doing? Do you have programmers that are on drugs or are they 5 year olds? Heck 5 year olds probably could do a better job.

I will not be renewing my subscription. When the time is up I am done with this program. It's got worse then better over the years. Old versions were way better.

Hi Mike.
We're sorry to hear that you are not happy with the latest version of AVG TuneUp.
Many features from the old version of AVG TuneUp will be updated, improved, and added to the latest program version during 2019. You can view all features and functions currently included in the latest version of AVG TuneUp by clicking All functions (the grid icon) in the right panel of the main AVG TuneUp dashboard. Certain features from the old version of AVG TuneUp are available in the PC Tuneup legacy features section.

The latest version of AVG TuneUp includes the following new features:

  • Software Cleanup (Unnecessary programs): View poorly rated programs, including bloatware and trialware, that may have been installed without your knowledge. AVG TuneUp allows you to easily uninstall unnecessary programs and free up space on your system. To scan for unnecessary programs, click Speed Up on the main AVG TuneUp dashboard, then select the Unnecessary programs tab.
  • Statistics: Provides an overview of optimizations made by AVG TuneUp from when the program was installed, including the amount of space cleared and the number of items cleaned. To access this information, click Statistics (the graph icon) in the right panel of the main AVG TuneUp dashboard.
If you still would like to revert to older version AVG PC TuneUp, you can. Uninstall the latest version and reinstall the older version.

In order to focus on developing and improving the latest version of AVG TuneUp, we eventually plan to discontinue the old program version. Because of this, we strongly recommend keeping the new version installed.

That's to bad. Because quite honestly the new tuneup isn't as half as good as the new one. In fact it sucks. Their were really good features on the old version and seems were getting less features for the same cost.

Don't know what route your trying to go or what your logic is behind this move but when you take a perfectly good program and strip all the good stuff with such small features I question avgs move on this and their reasoning behind it.

When I pay a subscription for something I expect the same features as I did when I bought it and not having stuff stripped from it.

My renewal ends in 2021. If I don't see an improvement then I have no reason to continue to use your services. I used every feature that the old tuneup had. To have those taken from us is a step backwards and not forwards.

Its not a question in form of submiting. You got rid of some key features in the new Tuneup. Which makes no sense at all. Part of the selling point of me buying AVG was due to the Tuneup Utilities having stuff that no other app did.

Especially the tweaks and what not. For years I have used this app because of it. Now you come out with a new version that really doesnt benefit anything that Windows 10 can already do.

Tuneup was a unique app because it allowed me to do deep stuff like defrag and scan my HDD.

But now I am finding myself back to using windows 10 built in apps due to Tuneup removing features.

Another feature was the registery optimize. Used it for years and worked amazingly well. So why do i need Tuneup if I got to use Windows 10 stuff with it?

Like I said this is a step backwards not forwards. Like I have stated when AVG came out and I got it, it was amazing with all the stuff you can do with it, but now i feel its a lack luster bloatware taking up space.

Love your apps but dont like the direction its heading. I have until 2021 and hopefuly the app will be improved a lot better.

I'm definitely in agreement with other users, I was using AVG PC Tune up exclusively for most of the customising features, like icon size, file folder customisations, being able to add copy to and move to on the right click menu ... all of these functions are gone, I wont be renewing but unfortunately in the new version, it took out all my .jpg and replaced them with icons and I can't delete any icons on the desktop.  This has all happened as soon as the new version installed.   Time to up your game guys.

Hi Leisa,

This isn't the experience we want you to have. As informe earlier by our colleague, this has been already forwarded to the concerned team. Our developers might take this into consideration in future.
Regarding t he .jpg icons on your desktop, we need few clarifications.
If you prefer, you can write back to us in your own/individual post elaborating the exact situation. We're more than glad to help you with it.
Thank you for your understanding in advance!

Yeah seriously, instead improving things, they have ruined what once the Tuneup Utilities was. I loved the tools when Tuneup Utilities was a thing, like in 2015. AVG has been breaking the app since they got it under AVG.
