how do I check whether avg is still active on my computer?

I have recently bought a new computer.  On my previous computer, I installed Microsoft windows10 and signed up for a normal office package.  However, it was difficult to keep windows 10 up to date (the Microsoft updates nearly always failed and I had to resort to a sequence of switch of, switch on moves to restore the system to working mode.  Since I got the new computer, I am unsure whether it continues to use my AVG virus checker etc.  Clearly, Norton came with the new computer and it appears to have done some virus checking while trying to persuade me to sign up. I have not done so but I get messages from Norton saying that it has blocked 'suspicious activity'.  Although my laptop was protected by a company AVG scheme, I suspect it is no longer, and I have not moved the laptop onto this same licence - although it seems I ought to be able to.  I'm happy to renew my AVG licence but I need to check it is doing some good in my present situation.

Hello Alexander,
We are glad to help you with the necessary information.
You have the below active subscriptions registered with your account:
- AVG Internet Security (2 computers), valid until January 29, 2020;
- AVG PC TuneUp (1 computers), valid until January 1, 2020
It is not recommended to use more than one security product in a device as this may end up in conflict. We request you to uninstall the third party AntiVirus and use your paid service of AVG. Before proceeding, can you let us know if you see any icons of AVG on your desktop/control panel?
Awaiting your reply to help you further!

There is no AVG icon showing on the desktop of my new computer. Nor can I see AVG in the lists of programs shown when I activate the start button.

Thank you for confirming, Sandy.
It looks like you have not installed AVG yet on the new computer.
Yours is a 2 computer license for AVG Internet Security. If you would like to install AVG on the new laptop, please uninstall Norton first as it might conflict with installation and operation of AVG.
Then, click the links below for steps to install and activate AVG Internet Security:
