Probem after using AVG PC Tuner

I ran AVG PC Tuner and was no longer able to us my Windows Updater.  When I tried to download updates, I got a notice that a virus called IDP.HELU.MSHTAR4 was in my c:\windows\system32\mshta.exe and that the threat was removed.  I then got a flag indicating that I needed to update drivers.  As I was unable to download updates or drivers, I purchased AVG Driver Updater.  I ran a driver scan but the program freezes when checking for windows updates.  Then I got the blue screen of death.
I tried deleting the AVG PC Tuner and Driver updater but nothing has changed.  I also tried shutting off the AVG Firewall and Anti virus, but still get the same problem.
Other than wiping out the hard drive and reloading everything, can you direct me on how to fix this problem.

Hello Micahel,

I understand the inconvenience but AVG shouldn't be the reason for this issue. 
There should be some issues with Windows update service.
May I know for which update you received this threat detection (IDP.HELU.MSHTAR4)?
Did you get the threat detected by AVG Internet Security program?

I use AVG Internet Security.  That was what the warning came from.  I have sent screenshoots of the warming, the list of updates I was trying to download and scan results.

Yes, whenever I run the "windows update" I get the AVG screen telling me that the threat IDP.HELU>MSHTAR4 has been removed, and windows update continuously runs without downloading the updates
