Hello, Peter.
I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused to you. Please click on 'More details' on the threat detection pop up from AVG and provide us the screenshot ( http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot ) of it to assist you further. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions. Also let us know if it is a paid version or free version of AVG that you are using.
Please check for unwanted extensions on Chrome and remove them. Right click on the desktop shortcuts of your web browsers, click on Properties, check the 'Target' field. It should be “C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe”  for Chrome. Please check and remove if any other text is added to this path.

Thank you for the screenshot. May I know the AVG version installed on your computer? Also, please disable Web shield component(AVG > Menu > Settings > Component) and check the status.

I have the same issue. Using yahoo webmail. Repeatedly attempts to redirect. AVG seems to catch the attempts. Do we have a solution to this issue? Many thanks :)

Hi. I am a PAID user of AVG Internet Security Suite. I have been receiving this same trojan notification for a few weeks. Please provide an ETA when this issue will be resolved.

Thanks

Using AVG Free / Firefox 57.0.2. Started maybe couple of weeks ago. Only seems to happen when browsing for sale ads on Kijiji.ca. They say not their problem. Just did full scan with AVG, Norton Power Eraser, Sophos anti Virus Removal Tool & Malwarebytes. As faar as I can tell none of them found the problem. just got a popup similar to this screenshot a few minutes ago.

I'm also a paid user of AVG and I've been getting the same trojan notification when using Chrome specifically when I use Yahoo.ca. I have used many other detection software and it finds nothing but I keep getting the notification from your system when I click any links off of Yahoo.ca that the threat has been aborted.

Re: case 05720738
Hello,

Last Tuesday someone named Michel removed my version of firefox and installed a new say this was thew reason I was having trouble with HTML:RedirMe-inf. Since Sunday I have had my web pages close with the same message. This is true in Firefox and Internet Explorer.

It is nice that AVG reports and error, but why cannot the malware/virus not be removed?
