AVG Password Protection

I just purchased avg password protection, but I can't seem to activate it, I have followed all of the given instructions, and all I'm able to get to is the buy page for it. :/

I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I would request you to restart the AVG AntiVirus service to resolve the issue with AVG Password protection.

Click Start , click in the Start Search box, type services.msc , and then press ENTER.
In the services list, right click on AVG Anti Virus service and select Properties.
Then click on 'Stop' and 'Start' it again.

thanks, but that doesnt tell me anything different then the already afore mentioned given instructions

yup, that worked, might wanna put this in the support page the previous user linked me to cause it immediatly put the shortcut on my desktop, thanks for the speedy response you guys!

I have the exact same problem as Liam. Stopping and Restarting the AVG AntiVirus service (several times) did not resolve the issue. Very Frustrated. PLEASE HELP

I understand that you have purchased AVG Password protection but experiencing issues with it's activation. I request you to share a screenshot of your AVG Internet Security/AVG Console to assist you further. You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

I have the same problem.  I have an Internet Security account activated but am having difficulty activating the Password Protection.   I have tried the method of stopping and starting  in the instructions below but did not help.  The AVG Internet Security keeps on asking me to buy the Password Protection as it is not recognising the purchase.

I tried to connect online chat all day today but no luck connecting to anyone.  I am outside of US and UK so cannot call the support number.  Please help.

I have had exactly the same problem as all of these guys i.e. all I get is an invitation to purchase something I thought I'd bought just ten minutes before, and the Stop/Start routine hasn't worked. I'm using W7 and my browser is Firefox. Please can you help?

I also have the same issue and have tried the 'stop start' using services.msc and modify 'Repair' but no luck - i have purchased but under My AVG in AntiVirus Free (which is logged in), it just says 'Purchased Install now' - I click on this and nothing happens and cannot find anywhere to install from - your instructions i received on email say that i do not need to install as when logged in it syncs automatically **confused**.  Please advise?
