Today, while logging into my Mac laptop, I saw a pop-up window from AVG Security informing me of “2 new notifications”. However, after I logged in, the window disappeared and I have no way of knowing what these notifications were regarding.
Does AVG Security keep a log of all notifications it brings to the user’s attention? If so, do you know how I can access it?
The information regarding my Mac’s operating system and my AVG software are as follows:
(1) Mac Book Pro
•macOS High Sierra Version 10.13.3
(2) AVG Antivirus
• Version 18.2 (99c8aa549be2)
• Virus definition: 18021202
• Last update: February 12, 2018

I'm afraid without seeing what exactly the notification was, I cannot determine if it was really a Threat detection. However, since you've already run a deep scan and no infections were found, it is safe to say that your computer has not been infected.

In the current version, it is not possible to find the notifications shown by AVG AntiVirus in Mac after it was ignored or closed.
According to a friend, the only instances where AVG Security notifications happen (outside scans) are when an infection is prevented from taking place. At around the same time after I first saw the notices, I ran a deep scan on my laptotp which did not turn up any malware. Similarly, I couldnot find any malware in my quarantine file. Assuming the notices were about viruses or malware, is it safe to say that AVG Security blocked them before they could infect my computer?

Thank you for taking the time to reply to my thread. With regards to your previous post, is there any possibility that a virus was simply found and removed before the deep scan took place?
