Hi Luis.
I'm afraid TuneUp Utilities has reached End of life. It means no more customer support, no security patches, no support for upcoming Windows releases, lost functionality (file identification and application ratings), no registration for newsletters, and repeated error messages when it tries to update.

In an effort to focus resources on developing the successor AVG TuneUp, AVG has decided to end the support for the older TuneUp Utilities® product on December 31st 2016, which means there will be no more feature upgrades, no compatibility updates to support newer operating systems such as upcoming Windows 10 releases, no critical security updates and no customer support. We encourage all our users to update to AVG TuneUp, which can be found at http://www.avg.com/avg-pctuneup.

We'd request you to contact our sales team (https://support.avg.com/support_sales?l=en) for help to upgrade to AVG TuneUp at a possible discount.

That's unfortunate.  I do have AVG and I think it does some wonderful things, but it's definitely just a shell of its former self under Tuneup Utilities.  There were many extremely useful features TU brought to the table that AVG does not.  I've noticed that there's a lot of things TU used to clean up in Maintenance that AVG falls short on (Recent Files as just one example; AVG does not clean these where TU did).  I purchased AVG for the last 2 years and thinking about ditching it for something else.  Quite frankly, it doesn't have much more to offer than a lot of other cleaning utilities out there that come at a lower price point to do the same thing.  They should consider re-focusing their efforts back to TU again.
