Telstra modem Gen 2 False positive maybe

Getting a block when loading into my Telstra modem ip saying " we've safely aborted connection on 192.168.0.1 because it was infected with JS:Redirector-SE [Trj]  This is preventing me from looking at my modem settings etc, been fine up to two days ago. This is a local telecom companys modem. Is this a false positive you need to rectify as I havce done a full scan with AVG and nothing showing.

Thank you for sharing the screenshot, David.
Please clarify whether you're getting this threat pop-up only in a specific Edge browser or in all browsers.
If possible, please check if you're able to access the IP address of your router configuration using a different browser without any threat pop-up from AVG.

Please ensure the AVG AntiVirus and Virus definitions are up to date latest version.

I am now being told its "The script is malicious. It´s not a false positive." How is this?

David TimsonDavid Timson

Let us clarify this for you, David.
Sometimes, the AVG engine might incorrectly detect legitimate websites as maliciuos due to the lack of virus definitions.
Once the false positive request is submitted, a group of analysts will review the file/site & whitelist them, if it is found to be safe.
Please clarify whether you've submitted a false positive request by visiting this page.
David TimsonDavid Timson
Yes I did and the replace is ,Hello David,

Thank you for your reply. The script is malicious. It´s not a false positive.

Have a good day.

Since the AVG detected the threat as malicious and also our threat detection team have analyze and confirmed the detection is malicious.
We would not recommend you to turn off the AVG shield to access the concerned router site.  If your modem is running the latest firmware you should report this issue to the device manufacturer/Internet Service Provider.

Well as I was originally advise to make an exception to this Telstra modem I di over a week ago at AVG's advice,  Now I have probably had all my log in details stolen. Also if you look at this link to teh Telstra forum you will see its happening to everyone who have only AVG as the virus guard and not others, this is just one of many.
