AVG Clear ran successfully, I actually checked the directories referenced and they did not even exist.
Running the installer afterwards, it locked up at the same place, but I saw a "microstub" created on the desktop. Running that after a reboot and another clean didn't work either.
We will check and help you to install AVG program in Windows 11 PC.
Could you please confirm whether you are trying to install AVG Anti-virus free or paid subscription of AVG Internet Security?
Have you tried to restart the PC in safe mode once and then try to install AVG program?
Have you already installed any AVG program earlier? Keep us updated.

We'd suggest you use AVG Clear to remove all the existing AVG traces and ask you to reinstall AVG AntiVirus.

Looks like something was preventing a download to happen. Hopefully, it's not Microsoft blocking download sites like they did for Chrome for a while.
