Why does AVG prevent me loading a legitimate national Sky help forum?
Whenever I use Chrome as a browser, and I try to open a link from an email notification (or even just direct) on the Sky community help forum, AVG WebShield prevents it opening, and gives me a 'privacy error. It works perfectly well in FireFox. This is the message I get...Why does WebShield prevent me seeing a perfectly legitimate web site?
Many thanks for your help so far. I have just discovered a neat workaround.
In WebMail I have added the Sky 'help forum' as an exception, so that AVG simply ignores it when I use the link. It's not a proper 'fix', but nonetheless, perfectly acceptable. I'm an old man, and my appetite for sorting out stupid IT issues has now worn out since I Ist started when MS launched Windows 3.1 in the 90s LOL

If I disable AVG, Chrome bursts back intoi life! Like I said, there is no issue whatsoever in FireFox. It is obviously some kind of interference between Chrome/AVG (specifically WebShield)

"If you think that the 'Sky Help Forum' website is safe to access..." Sky was formed over 30 years ago, now worth over £19 Billion ($22 Billion). I reckon it's safe LOL
