Update failed due to installation already running

I have been having this problem since yesterday. AVG Ultimate can't update due to "another installation already in progress. Complete that installation before proceeding with this install." It sounds straight forward, but I can't see another installation! Please help.

Armando, Delete AVG using AVG Remover & reinstall. Have a look @ this link (https://support.avg.com/answers?id=906b0000000DLeCAAW).

Hello Armando. I kindly request you to run AVG remover tool based on your OS (32-bit or 64-bit) to completely remove AVG and then re install the AVG program. please click on this link. http://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/827218 to determine whether your OS is a 32-bit or 64-bit.
