I am getting an installation error OxE0010058 when I try to install AVG Free Edition. I have uninstalled the old one because it stalled on the update and when I tried to reinstall it I get the error. I have tried to restart and reinstall many times. I have updated Windows 7 and have tried "del rep" and "reset access" which claimed succes but it still won't install. I have no other antivirus programs nor anti-malware. I'm a senior without extensive computer expertise and I don't know what to do next. I like AVG and would like to get it back.
I apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. I would request you to follow the instructions provided on your email to acquire further assistance. Please feel free to get back to us for any issues with AVG Thank you.
Hello Dorothy, We are glad to know that you have been sorted. Thank you for your kind post and for your support of AVG products. It is customers like you that are helping to make AVG a household name. Please feel free to contact us for further assistance. Thank you.
May I suggest that in addition to mailing the instructions for this error to the questioner, you also post the answer in the public forum. I too am getting this error on a new installation for one of my machines, and would prefer to find a possible solution to this error first without having to contact customer support over th course of the next couple of days. This would/will save both of us a couple of days of effort if Dorothy's solution also works for me. If it doesn't, then I will either post to the end of this conversation, or start a topic anew.

Richard, I had to go to AVG support. They were great, but they had to take control of my computer and it took them a while to figure it all out. In the end, everything was fine and I've had no problems with anything since. Dorothy
