AVG won't remove threats

I have AVG AntiVirus running on a Windows 10 laptop, and today after running a full scan, I noticed that it detected two threats which it said it could not remove. They were called %3Cunknown%3E, and were rootkits according to AVG. However why is my Virus software telling me that I have a virus that it cannot remove, or more to the point can someone from AVG please tell me how I get rid of these viruses?
Thanks, Niall

Hi Aravind,

Basically after running a full computer scan, AVG tells me that I have two threats (Service Function NtAlpcConnectPort hook & Service Function NtAlpcConnectPort ex hook , but they can't be removed. When I go into review and take action, its shows me my two threats, but there is no option to select them, and therefore 'Remove selected and remove all are both greyed out. I was going to attach an AVG Scan export, but I don't see an option for attaching files.
Thanks, Niall

Hello Niall.
Well, it is kind of hard for us to identify the exact issue that you face with the information you have provided. It would be helpful if you could send us a screenshot of the issue that you face for better understanding.

Sorry to bump this thread from so long ago but I am having the same issue. 849 (!) threats detected all in '%3Cunknown%3E'. Status: unresolved. I can't 'Remove All' because it is greyed out.

Any help would be appreciated

Hello Robert,
Thank you for the screenshot. Please click on "View Details" and check which program is detected as threat. If you are not using that program, please remove the same and check if that stops this threat message.
Thank you

I didn't manually check them all but I think they are all the same (ntoskrnl.exe):

Don't think I want to stop ntoskrnl right?

I want to try getting rid of them but the "Remove Selected" and "Remove All" options are greyed out and unusable. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Kyle,
Thank you for contacting us here and sharing the screenshots. As you can see the status of the detected threats are Healed or Moved to Virus vault, it means the infections are taken care of by AVG. When the file is moved to the AVG Virus Vault, it's deleted from its original location and your PC is no longer infected.
