Amazon Fire

Hi. Does anyone know if AVG Protection / Performance products are available for Amazon Fire Tablets? The Amazon app store does not list any. If not any idea if / when they might be available in the future? Thanks.

Jeff, I believe the Amazon Fire Tablet is an Android based product?. Have a look @ this webpage (http://www.avg.com/ww-en/for-tablet).

Hello Jeff,

I certainly understand your concern. On your Amazon App Store you have to search as AVG Antivirus for tablets and AVG Cleaner for Tablets. You have to install both and on the interface you can find the option to Log in to your AVG my account. Please have a look at this link: http://avgread.me/1kEQmSy to install the AVG programs on Android.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. Yes the Fire tablet is Android based (ish). When you go to the link from the tablet, select download you are greeted with: "This app is trying to open a link with an external market that is not available on your device. Would you like to open this link with the Amazon Appstore instead?" Continue takes you to Amazon's appstore (different from the Play Store) but no AVG apps are listed, cancel takes you back to the web page with the download link.

Thank you for the detailed explanation. Got a confirmation from our concerned department and our AVG programs for Android will be available only on the Google PlayStore and we aren't sure of introducing it for Amazon App Store.
