avgsvcx.exe error after AVG program update and uninstall tool

I will be as detailed as possible.

I've had AVG on my PC for about a year and have never had this problem  after a program update.  OK so:

After the recent AVG program update and after the required reboot, I got an error:

A microsoft window comes up saying"

"avgsvcx.exe Application error.  0x0173E84F referenced memory at 0xe0010190.  Memory can't be read.  Click OK to terminate program."

Then the AVG window comes up to either send the report to AVG or not.  I allow the report to be sent.

Next, AVG tries to  the internet for this service application.  After this, an attempt is made by AVG diagnostics to gain access to the internet which, I am assuming is to try to fix the problem but it cannot.

An AVG diagnostics report comes up informing me that avgsvcx.exe failed.

OK so, I downloaded AVG remover tool to remove AVG and it got stuck at this service.  I can see it in the command prompt window.  It says something like: "there is no such service"  Then, repeatedly, 2 windows come up, application error and send a report over and over again.  Finally, AVG repoots in 5 seconds and the same thing happens at boot.  AVG is still on the system and looks like it's trying to solve the problem since it is making requests to access the internet but now, because it is not installed as a program,  I have no antivirus installed to protect my PC.  I did a system restore for a few hours earlier, before this all happened and AVG seemed to be back on my system after reboot but, the error came up again concerning this avgsvcx.exe.  asking me to terminate the program.  But, what's interestings is that, when I go into "Services" the service is started.  I tried to stop the service but, it won't allow me (something I thought might be a fix when the uninstaller got stuck.)

After AVG ran it's diagnostics again, I get another window but this time it isn't a Microsoft application error but an AVG error saying an unspecified error occured.

This is getting tiresome (it's been an hour of this) since, I can't fix the problem and I can't uninstal the program.

What do I do now?

Hello F,
We do understand your concerrn. This issue can happen if the AVG program was corrupted during an update. The update must have got failed or corrupted due to connectivity or network error.
Thank you.
