Hello Roger.
Thank you for the information. We would request you to disable AVG protection temporarily and check if you could make the changes. To disable AVG, please follow the steps in http://avgclick.me/TempDisableAVG . Thank you.

I have tried with AVG dissconected, but am having the same problem. The first piece of advice Filezilla gives is,
Make sure FileZilla is not being blocked by some firewall. Many firewalls have the habit of blocking changed programs. Obviously by updating FileZilla it has changed. Also check your virus scanner, they often have firewall functionality as well.

So, just to be sure AVG is not to blame and I can rule it out completely, can you confirm it has nothing to do with AVG please.

Hello Roger,

As you explained that after disabling AVG the problem still persists, then it confirms that the issue is not because of AVG.
This is how we confirm whether AVG is causing this issue or not.
So we are sure that the issue is not because of AVG.
