Thank you for the information. We would request you to disable AVG protection temporarily and check if you could make the changes. To disable AVG, please follow the steps in http://avgclick.me/TempDisableAVG . Thank you.
Make sure FileZilla is not being blocked by some firewall. Many firewalls have the habit of blocking changed programs. Obviously by updating FileZilla it has changed. Also check your virus scanner, they often have firewall functionality as well.
So, just to be sure AVG is not to blame and I can rule it out completely, can you confirm it has nothing to do with AVG please.
As you explained that after disabling AVG the problem still persists, then it confirms that the issue is not because of AVG.
