Wordpad and my way

My Microsoft windows 7 Word has been highjacked by Wordpad.
Now saves all Word documents to Wordpad changing the format in the process.
Urgently need it removed. Also interferes with Google.
Can AVG remove Wordpad and my way ?  Can anyone help?

In Despair . . Link above doesn't show Word option as default, only Wordpad.

Wordpad has now converted all my past Word files to Wordpad destoying the formatting.

Wordpad is not listed in AVG programmes enable/disable

Please help,

Hooray found simple answer -  in.answers.yahoo.com

Best Answer:  Right click on the document you wish to open. Go to the "open with" menu then choose "other". Select Microshaft Office and choose "always use this program for this file type". 
Repeat as necessary for different document extensions. 
No you cannot "disable" Microsoft Wordpad, just dont use it.
