I'm using AVG Free 2014, on Windows XP home Service pack 3. My 'Identity protection' has just disabled itself for no apparent reason, and it won't fix itself. What do I do, please?
Thanks Alan. Sorry I got it in the wrong place. I didn't find it very clear where to post it. Last time I used the forums a couple of years ago, it was all different, and much easier. But anyway, thanks for pointing out what to do. Appreciated.
Facing the same issue with the PAID version of AVG Internet Security. Followed the links mentioned above, in the end downloaded the AVG2013 version (which was originally installed on my Windows XP, Home Edition, SP3 PC), clicked the "Repair" item and got the following error message at the end of the installation:
Getting the file from the download page, then choosing "Repair" did NOT work for me.
What did work ... I totally uninstalled AVG, restarted my computer, then installed that file from the download page per the "Repair" article. Now all seems fine.

Result: still the Identity issue:

I hope this helps someone.
