AVG 2015 Blocking

Since I updated to AVG 2015 I cannot log in to remote computers via LogMeIn.  I do not have the firewall activated.  If I temporarily disconnect AVG, I can log in fine.  What do I have to do to fix this?

Hello Bonnie. I profusely apologize for the inconvenience caused. May I  please know the error message you get when you try to connect LogMeIn? Thank you.
Bonnie ChristensenBonnie Christensen
It can happen with updates.  I have tried searching internet and found I should 'whitelist' the LogMeIn folder. I have done this part already.
This is the message:
SSL Connected
Host SSL certificate verified
Certificate issued to computer:  *.app02-02.logmein.com
Certificate issued by AVG Technologies
Connection failed - Error code 10054
I can log in fine using my Mac, and I can log in from PC with AVG turned off, so I'm pretty sure that's my problem.  Worked fine with AVG 2014
Your help is appreciated.

It does attempt to connect,
  Connect Network   -   check mark
  Activate Encryption   -  check mark
Verify Identity  -  no check mark but then comes up with
" Your connection to the remote computer has been lost"
When I ask for details, I get the information above

Thank you for this link but I had already done that.  Still no luck.

Thank you for the information. Could you please disable individual components of AVG and let us know which component is blocking the application? To disable individual AVG components, please click on http://avgclick.me/DisableComponents . Thank you.

Ok when I follow the steps:
Computer - antivirus off - still did not work
Linkscanner off - still did not work
On-line shield - off - success !!!
I have for now turned them all back on.

Thank you. I have sent you an email instruction to get connected with our technical support team. I would request you to disable the online shield, and follow those instructions to get in touch with them and you should be able to resolve your issue. Thank you.

Greetings,

Can you tell me what resolved this?  We have the same issue, we can only access remote computers if we disable Online shield.
Thanks,
Jack

Hello Jack,
We would request you to add the LogMeIn application to AVG's exception list and check if you could connect. Thank you.

Jack,  I ended up having to have someone from AVG log in remotely to connect. They were able to go through the necessary steps and fixed the problem for me.  They were very helpful. That would be my suggestion.
Good luck

Hi,

I found the tick box that allows LogMeIn.
Open Settings > Online Shield > Expert Settings > Untick "Use Heuristics"
Apply
OK
Restart Browser (IE 11 in my case)

Hope this is of use to someone.

Regards

Chris

I found the following solution for the LogMeIn Connection failed Error 10054:
Temporary solution: Disable the AVG Web Online Shield
Permanent solution: In AVG Main Menu under --> Options --> Advanced Settings --> Exceptions
click 'Add Exception' button, select Exception type = URL and add the following websites / URL's
*.logmein.com
*.accounts.logme.in
*.app03-02.logmein.com  (this can also be *.app02-02.logmein.com or another site. See the LogMeIn Connection error details).

Then restart the Internet browser.

Then enjoy LogMeIn again :-)

Great Answer:

We turned off firewall - still blocked
We turned off AVG AntiVirus - LOGMEIN worked
So we knew that once again AVG was blowing us up.
Turned AVG back on . . . created exceptions to the LOGMEIN applications - still blocked
Trick was to:
Create Exceptions to the URL *.logmein.com and *.logmein.co

Save and close AVG , Close and reopen browser

Struggling with non-AVG technology? We can fix that, too!
