How do I buy anything there is no Great Britain, United Kingdom or England etc on the drop down list of countries

I have been trying to purchase and there is no opportunity to put in any of the above labels so I cannot purchase!!!

It appears AVG have now opened the offer to the UK.. I got an email late this morning for £14.99 offer which would coincide Alan's finding the link now worked. So we have all been right all along - the purchase from the 99.99$ offer was blocked from the UK until today. IT may be my approach via the chat link got some action - who knows?

Thanks for your responses and efforts but I think it leaves some issues for AVG to sort out on their marketing offers. Bye for now!

is the link I was trying to use and on trying again just now the UNited Kingdom is still not there.

I used an outlying state of the US to buy in the end - but the UK is not a state of the US even it behaves like it sometimes!

The new link you sent me gives a purchase price roughly treble the offer of $19.99. Are telling me AVG are ripping off UK purchasers? I hope not!

John, Out of interest tried your link & it came up with the location us-en. Changed this to gb-en & it transfers exactly to the same link provided by Zbynek with the same £ figures.

Well that is not good news for UK citizens - we know we have had this problem for years - US prices charged as £ instead of $, therefore nearly doubling the price, but this seems far worse an issue as it is treble the cost to the rest of the world. In the long run not including the UK in the offer on equal terms will damage AVG reputation in the UK. It was an offer, a very good one, not a standard price one. The only reasonable excuse is that they are about to run an equally good offer for the UK. It was also very frustrating to try and make the purchase, but even more time consuming to raise the issue. Thanks for your help Alan!

John, The figure on us-en website is $19.99 whereas it's £14.99 on the gb-en website. Don't forget that this also includes VAT. Do the conversion for yourself. There's only pence difference.

Hope to disillusion you two but there is a deeper problem: when I click on that link I get an offer of 1 year at £40.00 and two years at £59.99 - so this must be because I am looking at it from the UK and not where you both are. I agree it should be £14.99 but it just is not. It appears we are all right but in  my case I lose out by £25!
Alan I thought you meant you saw the £40 - that is all I have ever seen. There is no currency button showing on my screen. A screen shot below.User-added image

I had tried with my mobile phone and windows 7 pc but both have been firefox. I have now tried both mobile and a lubuntu chromium version with the same results of £40, private browsing or otherwise. Maybe an AVG cookie does this to me?

John / Zbynek, Tried the link again this morning & initially saw the same as John. Copied & pasted link to a new tab & low & behold the £14.99 webpage came up. Returned to the Community & clicked on the link & it's now showing the £14.99 webpage.
