Drowning in Ads, how to disable?

Same old same old…I’m here ‘cos I got sick of the pop-ups for stuff and I am quite capable of looking for it when I need it by myself.
So just in case AVG hasn’t suss out yet its ‘killing’ its faithful customer base…….
 
Really...AVG are going to continue with uncontrollable random pop-ups?  Gosh this is a marketing technique that has a clear history of really annoying your regular customers of quality / dependable products.  It is only used for one-off market cream skimming and vanity one-off fashion or spot deals, you know those fickle just do it urges that as posted before is a terrible behavoiur pattern to create when dealing with viruses ad-ware malware all those wiggle popups etc. Certainly not a technique quality product producers would use…its a bit like the old push in your door vacuum cleaner salesmen.  I only posted to help AVG focus ‘cos it would be shame for them to go down-hill. 

Here is how I found out about AVG: I was advised to go AVG by other computer users at my place of work…ie word of mouth due to good service / experience.  These pop-ups are going to really degrade that form of “free” but very effective advertising.  The next step I took was to research the web what other people thought…well look at all these posts!!!  That’s going to speak loud and clear of a new but not desirable reputation for AVG. 
I personally would only advise customers when they actually upgrade, or download a new AVG product that there are other helpful products from AVG and list / links / enticements where / how to get them…something your customer can bypass but could be interesting.  This is the time for thinking do I / don’t I need…people don’t need to be randomly ‘got at’ all year round.   We like AVG don't wreck it now.
Poor show so far AVG…sorry I too will have to make a call if this ad pop-up stuff continues…especially in the paid versions!
