Update Failed

My updated failed and I get a Windows message that another installation is running. I've deleted the cached update files per AVG instructions and I still get the message. Seems to have only started since my Windows 10 updated.

My anti-virus won't update; I get the same message that another installation is running and to complete that before updating; I have windows 10, 64 bit; I have the latest version.  Am I going to have to uninstall and reinstall every time there is an update?
Carol CarlisleCarol Carlisle
I tried to remove AVG Internet Security 2015 via the control panel but I get the same message:  "Another installatino is already in progress.  Complete that installation before proceeding with this installation.  Error Code OxC0070652.  So what now -- use the removal tool?

And the removal tool doesn't work either; it tells me that it is downloading updates; why would it be telling me that if it's supposed to be removing the program; I can't get it to complete; the program becomes unresponsive.  Does this have anything to do with the automatic upgrade from Windows 7 to 10?

I too am seeing this issue and it is getting frustrating. When trying to update, I get an error. When trying to uninstall I get a failure:

Error code: 0xC0070643
Description: Event exec_finished

I tried the steps in the link above but there are no running installations and I still get the same error ever time. I have been using AVG for more than 10 years, and now I fear I must change to something else.
