Corrupted Graphics after upgrade from AVG Free 2013 to 2015 in XP Pro

My AVG Free 2013 upgraded to 2015.  After reboot two DOS type small black C: propmt type screens appeared to load something & quickly disappeared. 

After restarting the computer kept cycling through reboot and then crashing rather than starting windows XP Pro.  I was able to use Acronis to restore the master boot record and it rebooted to a stable situation.  I then restored my "C" drive to a state prior to the update because I was having issues with graphic instability and locking. This appears to have effected my graphics card and driver. NVIDIA GenForce 8800 GT. It is stable then the pixels go crazy on my dual screens and locks up. I have run AVG, Spybot, Malwarebytes, and Adaware with no problems.  I have defraged all drives and also check disk with repair. I cleaned the computer and removed and reinstalled the Video card and Ram.  All to no avail.

Today have now uninstalled the driver and let windows reinstall the Nvidia driver.  It is now stable but I am not sure if that will last.

Any ideas?

I request you to click this link http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/support/avg_remover_stf_x86_2015_5501.exe to download and run the AVG removal tool to remove all traces of AVG and then install a fresh copy of the product to fix the issue that you face. I tried that & reinstalled AVG.  No help.
Removed AVG & removed the Nvidia & driver completly and reinstalled driver in safemode.  That did not work either. It boots okay and as I am working at a later time the graphic locks up or gets corrupted.
Tried testing graphic card and it passed all tests.

What did this AVG update do to cause the crashing & rebooting repeatedly while I was not there and has caused this problem?  How do I restore stability to my system?

I do not have another desktop to try it on, only laptops and tablets. I tried restoring to an earlier date with Acronis.  It ran very stable and now it shows pixel corruption just while in screen saver and coming out of it.  I have read a lot of what people with bad graphics cards see and I am not experiencing those issues.

What damage was caused by the repeated crashing and rebooting?  Did this damage my hardware, Bios, or what?

I have a large Coolmaster case and all fans are working. Cleaned any dust with a can of freon and vacuumed the filters. Temperatures are all at the low end so heat is not an issue.

After restoring "C" to a previous date all was stable.  Then in error I triggred a scan of a file by AVG and stopped it. 

Later when I left the computer it started acting up again coming out of screen saver mode.  I noticed that AVG must have updated the 2013 version as it no longer had the exclamation mark in the logo on the tool bar and when opened said up to date.  So it is clear that AVG is causing the issue as it went in to screen saver earlier with no issues.

Any thoughts?

I thought you should know that your remover did NOT remove all the tentacles of AVG.
Your upgrade corrupted my BIOS and master boot record.  It also caused problems with Netevent.dll.  You sysinfo tool is not acceptable as it does not clearly display what proprietary or confidential info. it is transferring to you.

And mostly it caused repeated severe computer crash & reboots which destroyed my video card.  I had to buy two video cards and it took me weeks and a good bit of driving to find an acceptable replacement.  My system is still not as great as it was before your defective software damaged it. I spent a huge amount of hours fixing this problem caused by your failure to pre-test the product prior to release.

FYI I had two friends which also had issues in which your new version did not load fully and could not be uninstalled.  I gave them the remover and then they were able to load AVG in windows 7 as an Administrator.  AVG is not the reliable company it once was!

What a lie !!! It caused the computer to reboot and crash repeatedly!!!! Yes you know it happened as I found others on various forums that faced the same issue.

I could only reboot normally by reinstalling the MBR.  The crashing and reboot for hours burnt out the video card and that is clearly AVG's fault for putting out defective and untested software.  And yes it did corrupt the bios and that may have also been an effect of the damage it did to the video card.

Take responsibility for you errors and lack of suport when I came to you for answers and help. You guys owe me for my time and the video card.

I apologize for the inconvenience caused. I would like to inform you that our SysInfo tool would only collect AVG logs and configuration, MSInfo and System Event logs. May I know what is the current status of your PC and whether you have succeeded in reinstalling the OS for your PC?
If the reinstallation of the OS is not successful or if it's not stable then I recommend you to run the SFC scan (The sfc /scannow command will scan all protected system files, and replace corrupted files with a cached copy that is located in a compressed folder at %WinDir% \System32\dllcache. The %WinDir% placeholder represents the Windows operating system folder)
If OS was reinstalled and it's stable then unfortunately there is no way on how to find out what happened from logs.
