Error on Updating

I have had AVG Anti-Virus installed for quite some time.  Getting an error "An error occurred during updating"  When I press Try Again, nothing seems to happen.  I have rebooted my computer.  I am running OS X El Capitan Vers 10.11.6 on a Mac

Once done please follow the instructions on the article http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-download-and-install-AVG-AntiVirus-for-Mac to download and reinstall the AVG program.
