AVG will not update

I have 2 green circles, E Mail and Firewall, and the other 3 are red.  Updates keep failing.  I have a valid licence until Jan 2017 and am using a Vista Machine.

We appreciate your efforts in trying to fix the issue, this may be due to missing/ corrupted files at the time of update. We can resolve this issue by performing a re-installation of your AVG Internet Security program.

Click this link http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe to download and run your AVG remover tool, once the tool is run, your PC will automatically reboots. After the restart, please check if a folder with name AVG Remover is created under C: and remove it.  Now click this link http://files-download.avg.com/inst/mp/AVG_Internet_Security_742.exe to download your AVG Internet Security program, run the downloaded file to start the installation process and follow the instructions on your screen.

Complete the installation, restart your computer and check for the results. Please, feel free to let us know if you require any further assistance. Thank you.

there is also no new virus definition updates for AVG antivirus 2014 free version on Oct 5, then it had new updates yesterday, but today it has no updates again. I think there is an issue and should be fix. Alll other versions like 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2016 have new definition updates everyday, only 2014 has no update, they all should update at the same times, not just stopped one version. If you end support for oldest version like 2011 or 2012, that is acceptable, but it's 2014 version. Also end support for old versions under 2016 version is on Dec 31, so it should end support now.

Boris, Your posting isn't applicable to this topic @ all. User Carole Pope is using an AVG 2016 product [Internet Security] so updates will be available.
