my computer is sooooo sloooow!

Why is my new Dell laptop, Windows 10 so slow?  I know my wireless is not the best system (Verizon "high speed internet")  I have to wait so long just to get on the internet (I'm using Mozilla Firefox), and to do anything.  I have the AVG Zen & TuneUp, and the Driver Updater.  I just defragmented, optimized the drives, & I'm trying to run maintenance right now, but it takes forever to do anything!  Some days it's fine, though.  I even disabled a whole bunch of unnecessary startup programs that AVG said would speed up my internet performance.  What else can I do? (besides paying more for faster internet)

We request you to perform repair of AVG PC TuneUp program once as mentioned in this article: http://avgread.me/1BVxDSY and check the maintenance scanning.

Thank you, this seems to have helped!  Actually, I have a few AVG programs & I repaired all of them that allowed me to.  Does the version number of the programs matter? (I have the Driver Updater, PC TuneUp, Web TuneUp, & AVG Protection)   Also, it was telling me to put certain programs to sleep in order to speed up the computer and one of them was the Driver Updater, but it wouldn't go to sleep.

Hello Karen,
We understand your concern. The products versions are important for the programs to work efficiently, it is always recommended to have latest version of AVG installed. The AVG Driver Updater cannot put to sleep in AVG PC TuneUp. We are checking the same from our end and you will soon be able to put the program into sleep mode.
