AVG Internet Security prevents Bose Soundtouch working

I've just been "upgraded" to the 2017 version and immediately found that my lovely home sound system no longer works.  The solution is to turn off the AVG Firewall whereupon everything works just as well as it did before the "upgrade",

Seems rather pointless as I now have the simple choice of a secure PC within my silent home or my music ringing out whilst my PC awaits visits from hackers and virus peddlers.

This is not clever Messrs AVG - what are you goin to do about it?

Well, the saga resumes ...

Your actions above were completed very satisfactorily with one of your guys getting into my PC and applying setting to the AVG installation that stopped the firewall interfering with the Bose SoundTouch software.  All was resolved!  well done!!

HOWEVER, you have now applied another update to the software and this has reset your nasty software to the pre-fix setting and the only way I can get my Bose system running is to disable your nasty firewall which rather defeats the purpose of having it in the first place!

Hopefully the issue is still live by virtue of my being able to reply to it, so I look forward to hearing from someone for a repeat (hopefully permanent resolution this time around.

Peter

Hello Peter,
We regret to hear about the inconvenience caused, please change the firewall settings and check whether the Bose SoundTouch software is working. Please follow the instructions to change the Firewall settings : Open AVG Zen -> Internet Security -> Click on "Menu" in the top right corner -> Settings -> Components -> Firewall -> Customize -> Network Profiles -> Change the networks from "Public" to "Private" (If it is in "Private", change it to "Public")
Let us know if the issue still persists, we'll check and help you. Thank you.
