The update reported: "The update failed, can not connect to the update server. Check your internet connection. "
 I tried reinstalling AVG. I used the procedure:
Uninstall with AVG Remover, new installation from the AVG Account menu.
New installation fails.

Pavel, For your info, just in case that you are unaware, you can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

Hello Pavel,
We regret the inconvenience caused. We would request you to remove previously installed AVG program traces from your system using AVG Remover tool and then try to reinstall AVG Internet Security for unlimited devices.
Note:If you have installed any other Antivirus  programs like AVAST, NORTON, MCAFEE or KASPERSKY, Please uninstall it first to avoid conflicts when installing AVG.
Once you have uninstalled from your system,try to follow the steps which mentioned below.
Remover and Download:
1) To download AVG remover tool, please click on this link: http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe .
1.a) Please ignore the restart and try to run the AVG clear: https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG2017/AVG_Clear.exe .
2) Run the downloaded file and follow the onscreen instructions.

3) Restart your PC when the restart option is displayed on the remover tool screen.
4)Once you have logged into your PC after the restart, please go to C:\ drive and delete the "AVG REMOVER" folder manually.
Note : Please use the AVG Remover tool mentioned on the article to uninstall the AVG program more effectively.

Hello.
I installed the instructions in emails (points 1-4).
Installation failed. I'm sending an error message.
Only AVG ZEN was installed.
Installation takes a long, less than an hour. Slow retrieval of data.
Error: Connect to the Internet to install AVG.
Otherwise, I do not have a connection problem. I'm on a 100/100 Mb / s optical network.
I do not know how to proceed.

We are sorry to hear that. Please try to follow below steps and check if it works:
1. Please press 'Windows' and 'R' key simultaneously and it opens Run command.
2. Then type 'ncpa.cpl' in it and click on 'OK' button.
3. In Network connections window, please right-click the connection you use, and select Properties.
4. Double-click the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) item on the Networking tab.
5. Click on 'Use the following DNS server addresses' option.
6. Enter the IP address in 'Preferred DNS server' as 8.8.8.8 and 'Alternate DNS server' as 8.8.4.4.
7. Click OK to confirm the changes, and then close the window.
8. Then try to install AVG Free Anti virus using this link http://files-download.avg.com/inst/mp/Antivirus_Free_1817.exe .
