Cannot open Bernina V8 Embroidery Software

After recently updating my AVG Internet Security, I am no longer able to open my Bernina v8 Embroidery Software.  I have reinstalled the HASP drivers as instructed and restarted the computer.  Still can't open software.  I have also put the Bernina V8 software into the "exceptions" files of the AVG Internet Security.  Doesn't help.  Does anyone know how to temporarily disable the latest version of AVG Internet Security so I can test if these two programs are in conflict with each other?  Thank you!

Hello Jan,

I understand your concern. Please do not worry, please follow the below steps to disable AVG temporarily in your computer:

To disable AVG temporarily, please right click on the AVG icon present at the bottom right corner of your desktop(System Tray) and you can see a scroll bar to disable protection. Please click on the same and once AVG is disabled, please check if you are able to access this embroidery application. If you are able to access, please let us know and we will assist you further.

Thank you for your help!  I did as you instructed and temporarily disabled the AVG protection.  I was then able to open my Bernina V8 Embroidery software.  What is the next step so I do not need to disable the AVG protection each time I use the software?  I appreciate your kind and quick response!

Thank you for the information.
In this case, please open AVG Internet Security dashboard and click on "Menu-->Ransomware Protection"
Click on "Blocked List" whether "Bernina V8 Embroidery Software" is listed.
If it is present, please click X mark to remove it from blocked list and get into "Allow list" and add the application to the list.
Keep us informed about the status.

OK, I followed your directions and found that no "apps" appear in the blocked list.  I tried to enter the Bernina Embroidery Software V8 to the "allow" list, but it wouldn't let me.  When I click on the "allow" button this comes up: This PC>Windows(C:)>Windows>.  The Bernina Program does not show in this list.  It is in: This PC>Windows (C:)Programs Files(x86).  I can't seem to add it to the "allow " list from that thread.   What is the next step?  Thank you!

Thank you for letting us know the status. Please open AVG Internet Security and click on Menu->Settings->Components. From here disable one component at a time and check disabling which component the Embroidery software works in your computer.
