Not enough timers available

I was running PC TuneUp Maintenance and a box popped up saying "Not enough timers available." I clicked "OK" (I think) and the box went away. What does it mean?

I followed the instructions in the AVGreadme file, picked the AVG_PCTuneUp_765.exe file, once it downloaded, I clicked on it to install it, it started to install, but a dialog box with the message "You already have a program that is incompatible."

What am I doing wrong?

Hello Edward,
We regret for the inconvenience caused. Please check whether you have installed any other conflicting applications like McAfee, Avast, Norton etc.. on your PC, If so please uninstall the conflicting applications.
If not, please  click this link http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe to download and run the AVG Remover tool to remove all the traces of the AVG.
1. Please select the AVG products which are shown in the remover tool window and then start removal process.
2. After the remover tool process is successfully finished, restart your computer.
3. After the restart,  manually delete the AVG Remover folder in the C drive of My computer.

4. Once uninstalled download the installation file using the link : http://www.avg.com/download to reinstall your AVG program.
5. Run the downloaded file to start the installation process.
6. Follow the instructions on your screen.  
7. Complete the installation and restart your computer.
