Hello Irene,
Please be informed that the scan of the AVG program will vary depending on the speed of the PC and number of files to be scanned. Does the AVG program has detected any infections on your PC? If so please make sure that it resolves the infections detected on your PC.
Thank you.

these were all full scans one after the other. scan  detects virus then informs me it healed
then i do another scan and it says no threats. after a little time i do another scan and threat is back. there is nothing in the virus vault. i did scan last night and there were no threats, this morning did another one ( 2hrs approx) it showed threat.  i did not have anything else open during this scan. avg is healing the threat but i dont understand why it keep reappearing

Hello Irene,
Are you using a latest version(2016) of your AVG program? Did you try to locate the 'path' of the file/threat which is detected by AVG? You can also provide us a screen-shot (http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot) of the AVG detection message which will help us to identify the issue. Thank you.
