My hard drive crashed. Installed new one. First thing I did was try to load My AVG Internet Security suite. It would not install. I called tech support and talked with a man who tried but failed to help. I allowed him to take control of my computer but he still could not get the program to install. Afterwards, I finally installed AVG on my own, ran a scan and had three viruses or malware on my computer. Where did they come from? (Brand new hard drive from HP.) I do not trust this tech. I know he told me one thing that was not true. Though I have changed all the pass words on my compouter I still do not feel safe. Anyone else experience AVG techs like this one?
A computer which is connected to the Internet is always vulnerable to threats. To analyze the threats please share a screenshot of the scan reports so that we can understand and look into the detection issue. You can pull up the reports via AVG--> Options--> Advanced Settings--> History. To get our legitimate AVG support please have a look at this link: http://avgread.me/1FQ12oe .
there is no listing for "history" under "advanced" and how do i do a screen shot? Not real computer savy here.

My concern is your tech, to whom I allowed to take control of my computer. He was less than honest and I am concerned about the safety of my files and data.
Bill, we understand that you resolved the issue with AVG installation and successfully completed it. But it is strange that you do not have 'History' under Advanced settings. We assure you safety of your files and data. Kindly get in touch with one of our remote tech so that they can have a look into your issue and analyze the scan reports and help you. Thank you.
