AVG secure secure

Hi all i wonder if anyone can shed some light on my problem I use google chrome and have isearch.avg.com as my home page when I click to search for anything I normally have show  ratings on that page with all sites a green tick that is safe to go on there are three options all sites, risky and dangerous or none and you can put a tick in any of them I always had the all sites and got green ticks but yesterday i cleared all history in chrome and now it only has the risky and dangerous ticked it i try to tick all sites it wont let the tick stay there. If I use IE them it shows the green ticks I know it sounds stupid but I felt safe seeing the green ticks I have tried both laptops and pc and its happened on all after i cleared history even the laptop that has a full licence for AVG has anyone else had this problem before I cleared history all ticks were there. Sorry if this post sounds confusing lol . And thanks for any replies in advance

Hello Maggie. I understand you are not convinced with what the remote technician did to your pc. I request you to reach them back with the same link and then report them what you have reported us so that the remote technician will have clear idea of the issue. Thank you.

Hi I have done this a number of times on laptops and pc reset Google Chrome I have also uninstalled and reinstalled Google Chrome  and tired to put the  settings in for all sites and it still wont let me tick all the sites on the Menu. After clearing the history on one laptop and the pc I noticed what had happened. So I looked at other laptop and the ticks were there and I could reset that was until I thought ok lets see when I clear this history will it do the same and yes it did. This laptop also wouldnt then let me click all sites so its either google chrome that has the problem with avg secure sites or its AVG that doesnt like chrome anymore. I just want to be alble to have all sites ticked.Just to say that on IE I can clear all history and that allows me to put the tick in. So the problem is deffenately with Google Chrome could you please look into this problem Thank you in advance for your reply in this problem.

I'm having exactly the same problem too!
I use Google Chrome and when I deleted my posting history this afternoon I found that AVG secure search will no longer display for either all sites or no sites it's stuck on show risky sites. I prefer to see all sites.
It's bad enough that avg haven't sorted it so that you can use it as the search engine on windows 8 when using Google Chrome. (you have to keep a tab open for isearch.avg.com)
Please sort this and also sort so can use it as search engine on google chrome without having to use Yahoo.
Thank you

Well I did a remote like you suggested and it was no help at all. All they  did was take out isearch.avg.com from my home page and put www.google.co.uk there instead that showed no ticks at all. When I tried to explain about being able to see the gree ticks/safe sites on IE the person on the other end of my remote just took out isearch.avg.com out IE settings  and proceeded to put www, google in there as well and said there you go its sorted I tried to explain I wanted the green ticks there that was the whole idea of asking for help here and also doing a remote. So I am no better off at all with my problem. It looks like I am back to square one. By speaking to other people they are having the same problem with isearch as their home page on Chrome and yet it works perfectly on IE

No I am not convinced I explained it clearly to them what the issue was I even showed them whilst they watched and still all they could suggest was setting www.google.com as my home page on chrome and also on IE the problem isnt with IE as this works perfectly with AVG secure Search the issue is with Chrome I have asked around and its not only me with the problem. As for setting it just to google.com that doesnt give me or tell me that the website is safe to visit. As for getting back to them I cant see the point as I couldnt have been more clear with the problem that I was having. Surely a technican can explain to me here what I can do to rectify this problem.

The whole idea of AVG Secure search is that you can relax and know that when you go to sites you know they are safe. All the technician could say is that I was safe going on Google without  the safe site option, If this is the case then why do you have recommend to people to have AVG Secure Search?
