Hi John,
We apologize for the inconvenience caused due to this issue. To run the Schedule scan 12.00 every day you need to select all day option in scan settings. In this case please kindly check your schedule scan settings settings and confirm you have selected all days(from Sunday to Saturday, also please check the time), because you might have skipped the time settings.
If you need any further assistance, please feel free to contact us. We are always here to help you with your issue.
Thank you.

I can assure you that I have selected every day of the week for the "Scheduled Scan" to run at 12:00.
I have just checked the settings & all are correct.
Hence I feel there is a problem at your end.
I know the scan has not ran because whilst the AVG log no longer exists, after a scan a small green dot appears next to the "Scan Setting Cog" & this has not appeared, hence scan not run

I am having the same problem on my Windows 10 machine. Scheduled scan will not run. I have to run a manual scan which defeats the purpose of scheduling it when I am not using the computer. It worked fine until the latest update. I also can't find the results of previous scans. You over simplified the program to the point where it is no longer functional! How do I roll back to the previous version?

My other computer runs Windows 8.1 and AVG version 16.151.8013 is humming along just fine there. I refuse to update until you fix this problem.

Hi David,
We understand your concern and to assist with the issue better please confirm whether you are using paid or free version of AVG.
Thank you.

John,
When your scan is set to go off, is your computer asleep?
AVG 17 (free or paid) will not wake up a computer that is asleep in order to run a scheduled scan (at least it hasn't in the 2+ months I've had it on my Windows 8.1 machine).  Also, if the computer is unable to run the scan at the designated time, it will simply skip it entirely, it won't run as soon as it is able to.
So if anything is actually keeping the scan from going off at 12, you'll have to reschedule it to a different time (paid or unpaid version is irrelevant), and tech support can't help you - it is a functionality that has been removed from AVG 17, not a "bug."
On the other hand if your computer is on and running at 12 and you have no problems implementing a manual scan at that time, then you do likely have some kind of odd glitch or issue that you'll have to work out with tech support, and whether you have the paid or free version MIGHT matter - I don't know because I've not heard of that issue before.

Hi Chris,
We apologize for the inconvenience and no worries It just the ongoing issue in AVG scan, we have informed this to our developer team and the new release will be updated as soon as possible.
We appreciate your patience.
Thank you.

David/Chris/AVG Support,
This post is getting a bit confusing as others have joined the conversation due to same problems.
So let's work together!
My version is AVG free & the computer was not asleep at 12:00 the run time.
An AVG Tech Support person took over my m/c yesterday & to my surprise the "dot" which shows the Scheduled Scan" had taken place was there. However it was not there at times after 12:00 when I checked the AVG system.
Today @ 12:00 again the "Scheduled Scan" did not run, but @ 13:39 it was running.
Think there is a problem with the AVG time clock.
David, for information, there is now no log so the only way of establishing AVG has run is to look for the notification dot that appears on the scanning cog wheel.
I've set up for a report to run Scan/Report file, but this only activates if problems are found.
My opinion is that :-
1 The scheduled runs are not always at the time you select
2 There are days where for some reason the scan is missed.
I intend to monitor over the next few days & report back any missed scans.
Perhaps good if we all do this to solve/nullify the problem, OK?

Update to my post of 1st May @ 20:39
Scanning was in progress @ 20:49
But this is long past 12:00
John ClarkJohn Clark
As promised I've been monitoring this for 4 days conclusion:-
There is a timing probem the AVG need to investigate.
To recap:-
1 I've got a "Scheduled Scan" set for every day of the week @ 12:00
2 The settings have been checked by an AVG senior engineer.
Results from last 4 days
28th April Not scanning until 15:00
29th April Not scanning until 15:25
30th April Scanning started between 18:00 & 18:20
1st May Scanning had not taken place up to this post @ 20:39
Perhaps AVG should consider a full review of the Sheduled Scan timing function

Noted this morning that the AVG version has changed from 17.3.3443 to 17.3.3011
Would you please explain what is going on?
Also is this change anything to do with the problem with Scheduled scan start times?
Sarath RajagopalSarath Rajagopal (Avast)
Hi John,
We understand your concern and we will explain you in detail. No worries It just the AVG new version number and to assist you better please kindly provide the screenshot of the AVG Interface using below link.

Which page do you want screen shot of?
Why do you need screen shot?
I noted that Scheduled scan ran at correct time today, was this version installed to correct this problem?
This is the information of version installed:-
Build No 1.181.3.2875
AVG Anti virus Free 17.3.3011
Framework Version 1.182.2.64574
Set up Version 1.182.2.64574

John ClarkJohn Clark
Am I correct in thinking that version AVG Anti virus Free 17.3.3011 has solved the Scheduled Scan timing probelm?
John ClarkJohn Clark
