AVG has constantly been popping up saying that it has blocked something called JS:Miner-C but no matter how many times I scan or clear my junk files/registry AVG says that everything is clear and I have no viruses. I've even poked about google chrome's files to see if anything is amiss but I'm too leery of randomly deleting stuff and breaking my browser. At this rate I'm wondering if a full uninstall of google chrome will fix this.
See below for screenshot of the pop up. Any help would be appreciated!

Alright I'm not sure why the screenshot isn't working, so here's an alternative link to tinypic (apologies if I'm being an idiot, for some reason the embed image isn't working for me)
Thank you for providing the screenshot and it was attached successfully twice. The threat looks like a extension installed on Google Chrome browser. (click here) to see steps for resetting Google Chrome browser.
Oh sorry about that, for some reason the screenshot didn't appear on my end until I refreshed the page.
I've reset Chrome so now it's a case of waiting to see if AVG pops up with it again. It tends to appear hour by hour like clockwork, so I'll pipe up again if it reappears.
Unfortunately it seemed that didn't fix the problem. It was fine after I reset chrome last night and I placed my laptop to sleep. When I woke it up after work the first thing that happened when it connected to the internet was AVG popping an alert with the same thing again:
