AVG Driver Updater and Internet Security Issues

1. Internet Security:  When I launch AVG Internet Security, it shows RED on "computer update required" and when I click that box, it pops up with "Antivirus update is required." When I click fix now button, and yes to allow, I get popup:  "update completed successfully."  But everything is still RED.  Is it updating?

2. Driver Updater: Keeps telling me my driver is out of date for Realtek HD Audio and tries to force me to purchase update. But when I check my device manager, there's no yellow indicator to confirm the AVG assessment.  Are they just trying to sell me something I don't need?

I really want to be able to trust this company, but I'm becoming skeptical. been a customer for many many years over 5 computers since day one.

Hello, Lisa.
We regret for any inconvenience caused. Please share screenshots (http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot) of AVG Internet Security dashboard, message from AVG Driver Updater that a driver needs update and your device manager showing that there is no issue with the driver in question.
Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

I've been having the exact same issue as your item #1  for the past couple of days.
"AVG Internet Security, it shows RED on "computer update required" and when I click that box, it pops up with "Antivirus update is required." When I click fix now button, and yes to allow, I get popup:  "update completed successfully."  But everything is still RED.".
It won't  'switch on'  to GREEN,  whatever I do to  'fix it'.

Thank you for the screenshot, Lisa.

It seems that you have an older version of AVG installed on your computer.

The latest version is 18.6.

Please uninstall http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-uninstall-AVG the older version of AVG to completely remove all the traces of AVG from your computer.

Use this link http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-Protection to install the latest version of AVG Internet Security.

If you face any difficulties, please let us know and we will assist you further.

Yes, we actually requested the screenshot of the window after entering the license number.
We have sent an email for you to send that screenshot.

UPDATE.  The solution above worked to settle the issues I was having with AVG Internet Security.  Make sure if you do this to have your license key copied down CORRECTLY before uninstalling the old version so you can enter it after you install the new version of AVG. otherwise, you look a bit silly asking why it won't take your license....

Thank you for updating the status.
The full license number will be available in the email that you received after the renewal or first purchase of the product.
If you aren't able to get the email, do contact us at any time.
We will check the account and provide the license information.
Have a nice day!!!
