NordVPN not working suddenly

I have the fully paid version of AVG Internet Security and for some time, (many months), it has worked quite well alongside NordVPN. Suddenly a couple days ago NordVPN just won't start.
yesterday I spent time on NordVPN website chatting with a tech agent who helped me through uninstalling Nord and AVG then reinstalling an earlier version of Nord, got that working, reinstalled AVG, got that working, checked that Nord still worked, so updated NordVPN and all seemed ok. But today, NordVPN just won't start again. So AVG Internet Security is doing something to stop it from running.
I've added NordVPN to allowed apps in AVG settings and also added it in to exceptions. But NordVPN still won't run.
I also have AVG Tuneup but suspect that's not the problem.
I'm getting close to uninstalling AVG and letting Windows Defender do the job.
HP Probook 450, Win10.
Any help will be appreciated.

Kindly disable the AVG protection temporarily and check if you are able to use the NordVPN.

That didn't help. I will try uninstalling NordVPN and reinstalling it yet again.

Let us first check which AVG component blocking the Nord VPN program.

Please disable components (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Disable-AVG-Antivirus) one by one. Then, confirm which AVG component disable helps you to work with Nord VPN.

Hi, I did that. Disabled each individual thing one by one and tried to run NordVPN but it wouldn't start.
At first I disabled the whole program and Nord wouldn't run so I uninstalled it and reinstalled it again and it worked until my computer rebooted. Then NordVPN just won't start.
Looks like I'll have to uninstall & reinstall it again just to get it working until I reboot the computer iot seems.
