I've seen the same thing, over and over, trying to download documents from a manpower website that is part of my severance package. Its impacting my ability to get things I need to help in my job search cause i cannot download PDF documents. AVG is not giving me a pop up, I am seeing the messages in my AVG history.
We are sorry to know that. We will help you to resolve it.
Have you tried to update AVG Internet Security and check it? Let us know which program you are using to view PDF? Can you please try to download PDF from different browsers like Edge, Internet Explorer, Firefox?
I didnt notice it was being blocked until I went into the history, I just noticed I could not download those PDFs. I was smart enough to try with IE on my own, no difference, for all I know one of those notifications above was using IE. I got a friend to download the documents for me and pass them along.
What's AVG Internet security? I have the free version of AVG and it updated regularly as updates become available.
Jason, AVG AntiVirus free is basic protection software. AVG Internet Security is our premium protection software which includes advanced features. Please remove unwanted applications from your PC and unwanted add ons or extensions from your browsers.
Yes, we request you to reset the web browser once & check if the issue persists. If the issue still persists after resetting the browser, kindly write back to us in your own/new post & we'll offer you the appropriate assistance. Thanks in advance.
We apologize for the inconvenience. If you suspect that this is a false detection made by AVG, we'd request you to submit the detected website for false-positive analysis using this link. I am having the same issue, on both Firefox and Chrome. Note: Browser Settings -> Advanced -> Rest and clean up -> Restore settings is ONLY found on chrome, not in Firefox. Firefox is my Default browser, and I only use Chrome on websites that seem to be written to only work with Chrome, so the given "fix" is incomplete, at best.
