Hello AVG team, 

I encountered a problem while installing the AVG Free software.
An error message pop up as follows:

Installation Failed
Sorry we've experience a problem during initialization.
Description: General error (0x0659)
Error code: 0xC0070659

Can you kindly advise me on the remedy?

Hello Victor,

We regret for the inconvenience you are facing with installing the AVG program. Please check whether you have installed any other conflicting applications like McAfee, Avast, Norton etc.. on your PC, If so please uninstall the conflicting applications.
If not, please follow the instructions on the article http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-reinstall-AVG to reinstall all the traces of the AVG program and check whether it resolves the issue.
Note : Please use the AVG Remover tool mentioned on the article to uninstall the AVG program more effectively.
If you are still facing any error message please provide us with the screenshot so that we could analyze the issue more better. Please follow the instructions on the article http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot to create the screenshot.

Hello Kishore. Thanks for assisting in my case.

I have checked and ensure that there was no other antivirus software in my PC. Had also ran the AVG Remover Tool successfully and rebooted the PC. Retry with the installation of AVG Free but still get the same error message.

I attach the screenshot of the error message screen, and also the list of the existing installed programs in my PC:

Hello AVG team.

I have followed all your instructions (running the AVG_Remover and providing the AVG SysInfo), but why am I still not getting any followup on this matter after having waited for 3 days? Such a support is definitely not comforting for someone like me who is considering to buy a paid version Anti-virus software.
