Hello Balasubramanian,

I followed the steps you described above but the problem still persists. I cannot install AVG.

Is there anything else I can try?
Thank you.

Hello Balasubramanian,

I followed the steps you described above and AVG has installed.
Ran it's first scan and it worked fine.
Checked for updates and it worked fine.

If it stops working or fails to update over the next few days, should I reply to this thread or create a new ticket?

Thank you very much for your help and support.

Hello Balasubramanian,
I too folowed your steps in your posting of August 12, 2016, and it appears to have worked.
Please can you advise if the DNS settings should be restored to former setting(s) after following your steps and successful AVG installation, please?

Miles,
Yes, you can set the DNS settings to detect automatically.

I have AVG Tune Up on two computers (Windows 7 on one, Windows 10 on the other). On one (Windows 7) I've been getting this same error message, 0xE001F946) from the beginning. I just now followed the above directions. On the computer on which I'm getting the error message, my internet connection is not showing up, even though I'm connected to the internet. Rather, three "Not connected" connections are appearing. On my computer on which AVG is working correctly, my internet connection shows up. How do I get my internet connection to show up so I can follow the above steps? Thanks.
