Cannot go back to free version screen

Have the free version but keep getting a screen to upgrade to a pay version and cannot get back to my free version screen. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling and keep getting the same result.

Any suggestions?

Did all that (AVG Remover, AVG Clear, Reinstalled AVG Free). Still Getting the same thing.
Getting very frustrated. Is it time to look for a new AV product?

I am sorry to hear that. Please send us the screenshot(http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot) of the AVG window that prompts to upgrade in your computer. I can check the same and provide you a best solution for this.

I request you to reinstall the AVG program using the removal tools as mentioned in this article: https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=How-to-troubleshoot-issues-after-upgrade-to-the-latest-AVG-antivirus-product
To install AVG Antivirus free please follow the instructions as mentioned in this article: http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-AntiVirus-Free .
NOTE: During the installation please select only "Basic Protection" and complete the installation.
Keep us informed about the status.

I am sorry to hear that the issue persists. I have emailed you the steps to collect error logs from your computer. Please send us the log files and this will be analysed by the senior team and soon contact you with a solution.

I'm sorry to intrude in your conversation. I came to this looking for answeres I have the same problem tonight I have deleted AVG Free because it has exspired. Know I have no protection. When I download the Free protection again everytime it says Exspired. I have always had AVG and getting to the point Dale was at about having to find another protection. Please help Karthikeyah

Ok I have used the removal tools and the clear. The next step is to instal a AVG product. It gives me links to the unlimited and the ultimate. Do you have a good link to the AVG Free. Also one that last longer than 30 days so I don't have to go through this every 30 days. Cause what happens is my computer goes unprotected several days each time. A few years ago I use to have one that lasted longer, but no longer have that pc. Then is I get where I can have a paid subscription I can get it from the Avg Free. Thank you so much for your help I'm so close.

I downloaded and installed Antivirus_Free_1896.exe. Does this mean anything?

I apologize for the delayed response. Please be informed that it's just the name of the installation file and different download locations may have different numbers (e.g. file name in the download center will be different from the one on product page). The important thing is that file was freshly downloaded. Hence AVG will be updated during or after installation.
