Bloody adverts!

How the hell do I stop AVG from popping up adverts for it's own products?

I just bought 20 licences for a big client as this happens, and quite honestly I'm sending the whole lot back and buying something else which is ad-free as the client thinks I've installed a free version!

Any ideas?

What kind of popup you are getting from AVG?

The good news is, I've found many complaints on Facebook which means I'm not alone in thinking this is spam from AVG.

I didn't sign up or asked to be spammed by AVG for new products, so will take my business elsewhere if that's how AVG runs it's business.

I've got all notifications switched off in my AVG setup, so why can't it acknowledge those settings at the very least!

Richard, It's an advert for the latest AVG product (http://www.avg.com/ww-en/safe-surf).

Richard, Have a look @ this AVG article (http://www.avg.com/ww-en/product-feedback).

That feedback won't help me today, but for now someone at AVG has kindly suggested I opt out of the AVG improvement program (Privacy Prefences), fingers crossed that is yet another manual method needed to keep AVG running silently well.

But you'd think switching off ALL notifications should stop such unsolicited messaging (AKA SPAM)
